Actress REBECCA HALL is convinced she would have found fame even without her father PETER HALL’s help – because she is so talented.

The Frost/Nixon star grew up watching her director father helm theatre productions, and always knew she was destined for a career in the spotlight.

The 78-year-old’s famous name helped his daughter when she was starting out – but Rebecca is sure she could have made it on her own.

She tells Total Film, “I’d be an idiot if I said that it wasn’t helpful in many, many ways. But I wouldn’t say it helped me more than most people when you get to a point.

“I just think that you’re either talented and able to do it or you’re not. And if I wasn’t, then being Peter Hall’s daughter sure as hell wouldn’t have helped me – it would have made sure I never worked again.”
