Recovering drug addict KELLY OSBOURNE is hoping she doesn’t become a casualty as she rehearses for U.S. TV talent show DANCING WITH THE STARS – because she’ll have to fight any injuries without painkillers.
No matter what she might break or fracture as she prepares for her dancing debut on the hit series, the pop star daughter of Ozzy Osbourne insists there’s no way she can even consider taking medication.
She says, “I wouldn’t do it because, for me, I’ve just opened a great big door that I can’t close by myself (sic).”
Osbourne insists there are other ways to relieve the pain of rigorous daily dance work-outs: “(There’s) Epsom salts and… I get a massage every week.”
The show, which has a long history of injuries, has already claimed its first victim – American TV star Mark Dacascos has been diagnosed with a strained foot.
Last season singer Jewel pulled out of the programme before it aired after fracturing a tibia in rehearsals; and actor Gilles Marini is still recovering from a surgical procedure after separating his shoulder practising his dance moves.
