KITTY WHITE, the jazz and pop icon who performed with ELVIS PRESLEY in the film KING CREOLE, has died, aged 86.

White sang Crawfish with The King in the 1958 film.

She died at Palm Springs Health Care Center last month (Aug09).

White is perhaps best known for recordings she made with jazz greats like Ben Webster, Buddy Collette and Red Callender.

She also appeared in the films The Night of the Hunter and Kiss Me Deadly.
