Los Angeles, Jan 2 (IANS) Actress Emily Blunt apparently likes the idea of her starring in a superhero movie, but no one has officially made an offer yet.

The 31-year-old told Vulture magazine that she heard rumour of her being linked to “Captain Marvel”, but she never received any official offer, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“Oh! No one’s offered me that officially, so it’s … very unofficial. I think it’s fan-casting, which is always very nice. But nothing official has been offered, for sure,” she said.
Blunt further talked about two Marvel roles, Black Widow and Peggy Carter, which she had to pass on because of commitments to other projects.
She added: “Yeah, but it was never the right time, really, and it just didn’t work out scheduling-wise with those two (roles). It’s always a difficult thing to talk about, because it’s not fair to the actresses who ended up playing them, you know? It just wasn’t the right time.”
“Captain Marvel” which focuses on the US Air Force pilot Carol Danvers is set to be released on July 6, 2018. Other stars who previously were linked to the character include Katee Sackhoff and Natalie Dormer.
