Hyderabad, Feb 27 (IANS) Telesur, a telecommunications service provider in Suriname, and India’s YuppTV, Friday signed an agreement to deliver over-the-top (OTT) internet television services in the South American nation.

YuppTV, claimed to be a leading OTT content player for South Asian content, will provide a full turnkey technology solution to Telesur. It will aggregate existing local, Dutch and foreign content from various ethnicities and also bring premier Bollywood content to the people in Suriname.
“With this partnership with YuppTV, the company will be able to deliver TV entertainment to larger audiences in Suriname anytime, anywhere over multiple devices like Samsung TVs, android and iOS devices, and supported set-top-boxes,” said Dirk Currie, chief executive officer (CEO), Telesur.
Uday Reddy, CEO of the YuppTV said they were looking forward to a host of pioneering and innovative OTT services to Telesur.
Telesur’s Internet TV service will be unique where subscribers can watch local, Dutch, foreign and Bollywood channels live as well as 10-day Catchup on multiple devices with a single subscription.
