Lausanne, March 31 (IANS) The talks betweeen the six major world powers and Iran on Tehran’s nuclear programme are difficult and a search for new approaches is needed, a European diplomatic source said on Tuesday after the morning ministerial-level plenary meeting.
“The negotiations are difficult. We need to look for new approaches as the sensitive issues remain,” Russia’s Tass news agency quoted the source as saying.
The plenary meeting of P5+1 group of world powers — comprising the US, Britain, Russia, China, France plus Germany — and Iran was held in Lausanne, Switzerland, for around 30 minutes.
A Tass correspondent said the sides discussed the possible wording for the future political agreement that would lay the foundations for a full nuclear deal by the June 30 deadline.
Earlier, a coordination meeting of the six world powers was held in Lausanne, Switzerland. The meetings were held at the ministerial level.
