The members of British boyband MCFLY are turning into teachers – they are holding a musical masterclass in a bid to encourage more young people to play instruments.

The Obviously hitmakers have enjoyed phenomenal chart success in the U.K. since their debut in 2004 and even founded their our own record label, Super Records, in 2008.

Now the four-piece has decided to pass on its music industry wisdom, after the members were named as mentors of the 2009 Celebrity Master Class program in Britain.

Singer/guitarist Tom Fletcher says, “We have been very fortunate to have had good advice and great people working with us since we started out. We’ve learned and been educated about the music industry over the years and look forward to passing that on through the Santander Mentor programme.”
