MARIAH CAREY has tied ELTON JOHN and JANET JACKSON with 27 top 10 hits in America’s Billboard Hot 100 after taking her new single, OBSESSED, to number seven on the new countdown.

The trio shares the fifth spot on the all-time hits chart behind Madonna (37), The Beatles (34) and Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder (28).

Meanwhile, the Black Eyed Peas extend their record of consecutive weeks at the top of the chart with a 23rd week at number one – three shy of an incredible half-year mark – with I Gotta Feeling.

Jay Sean’s Down stays put at two and Miley Cyrus’ Party in the U.S.A. rounds out the new top three.

Breaking Benjamin scores the week’s highest debut with I Will Not Bow at number 40 and Beyonce, becomes only the fifth female in Hot 100 history to place six songs from one album within the top 40 – her Sweet Dreams climbs from 46 to 39.
