Kolkata, June 1 (IANS) Probing the chit fund scam in West Bengal, the CBI on Monday arrested five directors of the state-based Win Realcon Ltd. for illegally raising public money, an official said.

“Win Realcon allegedly collected crores of rupees from the public, which remain unpaid. Five of its directors have been arrested,” said an official of the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The five accused — Mahitosh Ganguly, Partha Pratim Roy, Raju Dey, Joy Bhowmick and Rajib Debnath — were arrested after being grilled by CBI sleuths. They will be presented before a court on Tuesday.
The CBI had registered cases against several non-Saradha companies including Win Realcon in November 2014 on various charges, including criminal breach of trust, cheating, criminal conspiracy and violation of Prize Chits and Money Circulation Scheme (Banning) Act.
Following an order by the Supreme Court, the CBI had registered cases against many companies, including the Saradha Group, for running ponzi schemes.
