Shimla, June 2 (IANS) The weather continued to remain pleasant in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday with the temperatures staying below average.
The day’s maximum and minimum temperature in various places were both one to eight notches below average.
The weather in the state capital remained pleasant due to mild rains and it recorded a high of 21.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees below average.
“Most of the areas in the state saw the day’s temperatures down by three to four degrees in the past 24 hours,” an official of the meteorological office here told IANS.
Likewise, Sundernagar in Mandi district recorded a high of 26.7 degrees Celsius, while it was 24.5 degrees Celsius at Bhuntar in Kullu district. The day temperature at Dharamsala in Kangra district was 27.6 degrees and Kalpa in Kinnaur district experienced 17.8 degrees.
Una town was the hottest at 31.8 degrees Celsius, while Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest with a low of 5.1 degrees Celsius.
Jogindernagar in Mandi district recorded 9 mm rain, state’s highest.
The weather department has forecast thundershowers in the state till Wednesday.
