Kampala, Jan 24 (IANS) The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has suspended three officials for illegally transferring a player to a club in Myanmar.

Ahmed Hussein, the Uganda FA spokesperson, told Xinhua on Saturday that it was discovered that the officials had tampered with the transfer of Joseph Mpande Mbolimbo.
“The FUFA Ethics and Integrity Committee of the FA has provisionally suspended Thadeus Kitandwe, Harunah Kyobe and Richard Ssemanda Nandigobe from all football activities for 90 days over the irregular transfer of the SC Vipers player,” said Hussein.
The attacking midfielder who featured for the national team during the 2014 Africa Nations Championship in South Africa reportedly joined Horizon FC in the Myanmar National League early this month.
Hussein said investigations have started into the illegal activity of the trio.
He said the Federation of International Football Association, the world football governing body, has already been informed of the investigation.
SC Vipers are Uganda’s 2014-2015 League champions and will represent the country in the 2016 Africa Champions League.
