Cairo, Jan 29 (IANS) At least two Egyptian police officers were killed and five security men injured in a bomb blast in the restive Sinai peninsula on Friday, an official security source said.

The police official’s vehicle exploded when it passed through explosive devices near a school complex in North Sinai provincial capital of Arish, Xinhua quoted a source as saying.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, which is the second in recent days.
A colonel and three soldiers were killed in a bomb explosion in Arish on Wednesday.
Islamist militants have stepped up attacks on Egyptian soldiers and police since the army toppled president Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013 after mass protests against his rule.
Hundreds of security men have been killed during the attacks.
Islamic State’s Egypt affiliate, which took from Sinai peninsula a base for their operation, claimed responsibility for most of the attacks.
