Damascus, Jan 31 (IANS) At least 30 people were killed when twin bombings rocked a Shia district south of Syria’s capital Damascus on Sunday.
The bombings took place at the Sayyidah Zaynab district, where a key Shia shrine is located, Xinhua news agency reported.
According to authorities, the toll is likely to increase.
The shrine is protected by members of the Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah group.
