Srinagar, Feb 3 (IANS) Three youths allegedly responsible for damaging cell phone towers last year and for running a militant module have been arrested in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, police said on Wednesday.
“Police in Handwara (Kupwara) have busted a module responsible for last year’s grenade attacks on mobile tower in the town and Parvaiz Lone, Umar Mir and Ajaz Bhat have been arrested,” said a police official here.
“The three arrested youth are believed to have been in contact with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Musa, who is active in Rajwar area of the same tehsil, and with Saifullah,, who was giving directions to them from across the border,” the official said.
