New Delhi, Sep 18 (Inditop.com) Three people were murdered and two critically injured in separate incidents in the Indian capital between Thursday night and Friday morning, police said.

The dead included property dealer Dalbir Singh Yadav, trader Kanhaiya Lal Sachdeva and Bhupendra Jain.

Yadav was stabbed by unidentified assailants who entered his Khanpur residence in south Delhi Friday morning. He died in a hospital while being treated.

Sachdeva was robbed and shot dead by six men in west Delhi Thursday night while returning to his Shalimar Bagh residence in his car from Lajpat Rai market in Chandni Chowk.

“As the driver stopped the car, the assailants opened fire, killing him on the spot and injuring another person,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (northwest) N.S. Bundela. The attackers escaped with two bags with money.

Jain, 25, was shot dead by five people in east Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar Thursday following a tiff over money.

According to police, the killers had lent money to Jain. On Thursday they asked him to return it.

“There was a quarrel after which Bhupendra was shot dead. We have identified the assailants and they will be arrested soon,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) Anyesh Rai.

In another incident, an accountant was critically injured by three motorcycle-borne men around 9 a.m. Friday in Bhogal area in south Delhi.

According to police, they tried to snatch a bag from the victim. When he resisted, they shot him before escaping with the bag.

Umesh, a courier company employee, was critically injured by motorcycle borne criminals in Mandawali area of east Delhi around 10 a.m. Friday. The assailants opened fire at him and escaped.
