Los Angeles, Feb 5 (IANS) Actor James Franco will be directing and producing a movie following stripper Aziah King’s wild and dangerous road trip to Florida which she shared on the social media through tweets.
Franco, along with Andrew Neel and Killer Films, is developing a movie based on David Kushner’s story for Rolling Stone, published in November and titled “Zola Tells All: The Real Story Behind the Greatest Stripper Saga Ever Tweeted”, reports variety.com.
Franco will direct from a script by Neel and Mike Roberts. Franco and Vince Jolivette are producing through their Rabbit Bandini Productions with Killer Films’ Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa, and Gigi Films’ Gia Walsh and Kara Baker.
King, a former Hooter’s waitress, turned stripper, under the Twitter name Zola, gave a remarkable account of a weekend in Florida with her friend Jessica Swiatkowski and Swiatkowski’s former beau Jarrett Scott. She narrated the saga which ranged from stripping to prostitution and culminated in kidnap, murder and attempted suicide.
The first tweet read: “Okay listen up. This story long. So I met this white b**** at HootersÂ…” The tweets include a hustler getting murdered and Scott leaping from a four-storey window.
