New Delhi, Feb 6 (IANS) Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, on Saturday suspected foul play in a child’s death in a private school here on January 30.
Class one student Divyansh Kakrora died after falling into a septic tank at Ryan International Public School in Vasant Kunj area of the city at about 12.30 p.m. on January 30.
“Ryan International School student Divyansh Kakrora’s parent’s allegation of possible sodomy is being ignored,” Sisodia said.
“Parents observations were ignored that cotton was found inserted in the child’s anal point. All this is pointing towards a foul play or a serious crime,” he said, adding, “How can a school be so irresponsible?”
The parents of the deceased boy had claimed that their son was found in a naked state and they could not find his clothes.
Delhi government had ordered a magisterial probe into the matter and had also ordered all schools in the city to prepare a “safety report” within a month.
The Delhi Police had on Thursday arrested the principal of the school Sandhya Sabu on charges of causing death due to negligence.
Four other employees of the school were also arrested on the same charges. They were class teacher Minakshi Kapoor (38), reverse osmosis plant operator Yogesh Kholiya (23), maintenance incharge Puran Singh Bisht (65), and gardener Ram Narayan (44).
