New Delhi, Sep 19 (Inditop.com) The second friendly football match between the under-16 teams of India and Sri Lanka ended in a goalless draw in Colombo Saturday.

The Indian team had won the first match and gave opportunity to the reserves in the second match, according to a statement issued here.

The home side started the game on an attacking note and created some early chances. Though they managed to break through the Indian defence, they were not lucky to find the back of the net.

With Sri Lanka creating most of the chances, the Indian team tried to push forward but failed as the match entered into the lemon break.

India showed purpose in the second half and put up a dominating display. They got couple of chances but they could not to get the ball past Sri Lanka custodian.

India are touring Sri Lanka prior to the AFC U-16 qualifiers scheduled to held at Al Ain City, UAE from Oct 3-13.
