Ghaziabad, Sep 22 (Inditop.com) A disabled woman was allegedly raped by a civic official here Tuesday, police said.
In her complaint to the police, the woman, who resides in Pratap Vihar locality under Vijay Nagar police station alleged that the civic official Sunil Kumar Surya had been harassing her since long.
“Surya barged into her house at 6.00 a.m. Tuesday and raped her. He then threatened her and asked her not to reveal the incident to anybody. She, however, decided to approach the police and lodged the complaint,” a police officer said.
“On the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered against Surya. He has been taken into custody and medical examination of both is being conducted,” circle officer R.K. Gautam said.
