Mallikarjun Kharge leveled allegations against the BJP-led government on Wednesday, claiming that the Union Budget for 2024-25 exhibited favoritism towards only two states, namely Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, at the expense of the remaining states in the country. Kharge spearheaded the criticism against this alleged bias, characterizing the budget as a “kursi-bachao” document, suggesting that it was designed to safeguard the ruling party’s political interests rather than addressing the nation’s needs as a whole.
