A group of around 50 kanwariyas blocked the Mussoorie-Dehradun road Friday morning after being denied entry into Mussoorie due to a government ban. They staged a sit-in at Kolhukhet, causing significant traffic disruption. The police intervened and successfully persuaded the group to disperse. The ten-year-old ban was imposed due to past clashes between kanwariyas and locals. The incident caused delays for residents and tourists but was eventually resolved. Other kanwariya activities have also been reported, with authorities implementing safety measures in different regions.
