Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, part of the medical team with the Indian contingent at Paris Olympics, provided a comprehensive account of the extreme measures taken to reduce wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s weight to below 50kg before her gold-medal match at the Paris Olympics. Despite their best efforts, Phogat remained 100 grams over the weight limit for her category, resulting in her disqualification.
