The high court stayed the investigation by Bengaluru police against a US-based man following his wife’s allegations of cruelty for not allowing her to eat French fries. Justice M Nagaprasanna allowed the husband to travel back to the US after he undertook to be available for investigation, noting that the complaint lacked evidence of cruelty under Section 498A IPC.
