In response to Congress’s criticism over the Unified Pension Scheme, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad asked whether Congress had fulfilled its promise of reinstating the Old Pension Scheme in Himachal Pradesh. Prasad accused Congress of making empty promises for votes. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge labeled the new scheme as another policy reversal by the Modi administration.
