The Ministry of External Affairs has refuted Bangladesh’s allegations of “non-cooperation” regarding the opening of 109 gates at Farakka Barrage. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal clarified that this was a routine seasonal measure due to heavy rainfall. He emphasized that water data is regularly shared with Bangladesh, dismissing rumors and fear mongering.
