An elderly man died and five others were injured after a bomb attack on a residential area in Moirang, Bishnupur district. The rocket exploded at former chief minister Mairembam Koireng’s residence. Earlier that day, another rocket was fired toward Tronglaobi. The incident occurred near the INA headquarters, a significant site for India’s independence history.
