India and the Maldives have mended their relationship following the withdrawal of Indian troops from the archipelago. Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled for an official visit to India. Meanwhile, the Maldives continues to bolster its ties with China through recent trade and investment agreements, as well as ongoing defense cooperation talks.
