A 30-year-old man was fatally beaten in Kanpur’s Shastri Chowk area. The assault, reportedly ordered by a history-sheeter recently released on bail, happened after the victim and his sister filed a police complaint against him. Authorities are waiting for an official complaint to advance the investigation.
