Kabul, Sep 29 (Xinhua) Twelve people were killed and 15 others injured Tuesday when the bus in which they were travelling hit a landmine in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan, officials said.
“It occurred at around 9.00 a.m. this morning when a bus carrying civilians hit a mine (landmine) as it passed through Maiwand district,” the provincial government said in a statement.
Officials blamed Taliban militants for the deadly attack.
