Tehran, Oct 19 (Inditop.com) The Iranian foreign ministry has summoned a senior Pakistani diplomat here after Sunday’s deadly attack in southeast Iran that killed dozens of soldiers, media reports said.
The attack took place in the volatile southeast region close to the Pakistani border.
The foreign ministry said there is evidence that the perpetrators of the attack came to Iran from Pakistan, the Online news agency reported quoting the Iranian media.
The Pakistani official assured Tehran that his country would take all measures to secure its border with Iran, it said.
Iran has in the past, accused Pakistan of hosting members of the Sunni insurgent Jundollah group, Press TV said. The group claimed responsibility for Sunday’s attack on Iran’s Revolutionary Guards that killed about 30 people.
