Jammu, Nov 3 (Inditop.com) One terrorist was killed Tuesday when Border Security Force (BSF) troopers foiled an infiltration bid in the Samba sector of Line of Control (LoC) that divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
A BSF spokesman said a group of infiltrators was sighted close to the border fence. “The group was challenged. The infiltrators opened fire and in retaliatory fire, one terrorist was killed. Others retreated to Pakistani territory.”
The BSF troopers have launched massive search operations and a recheck of the border fence has been undertaken.
There were reports that infiltrators have been making desperate attempts to cross over from the international border as the snow has started closing the mountainous passes along the LoC.
