Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 23 (Inditop.com) The special vigilance court here Monday ordered an inquiry into a complaint against Kerala’s Additional Director General of Police Sibi Mathews.

Judge S. Jagdeesh asked the vigilance department to register a case and complete the inquiry in two months after P. Hameed, a resident of Kochi, submitted a petition that Mathews did not do a fair job in three cases when he occupied the post of vigilance director.

Incidentally, Mathews is credited with successfully investigating quite a few sensational cases of crime in the past.

He is currently in charge of the police’s intelligence wing.

Reacting to the inquiry, Mathews said this is the handiwork of a few police officials as he believed some of them were upset about his impending promotion to the rank of director general of police.
