London, April 19 (Inditop) British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen offended pop superstar Madonna by making fun of her attempt to adopt an African baby in his new movie “Bruno” but apologised later by sending her a bouquet of flowers.
Cohen, infamous for offending people in general, in the movie collects an African baby out of a luggage at an airport and then comes on US talk shows defending the adoption just as Madonna did, mirror.co.uk reports.
A source said: “Sacha is always out to make great comedy – and if he upsets people along the way, so be it. But when word reached him that Madonna thought his sketch was insensitive, he sent her a bouquet of flowers to say, ‘No hard feelings’.”
Cohen is known for his comic characters Ali G. Borat, a Kazakh reporter and Bruno a flamboyantly gay Austrian fashion reporter.
