Madrid, Dec 11 (DPA) Spanish football club Sevilla said on Friday that the contract of Argentinian winger Diego Perotti has been extended until 2015.
The buy-out clause of Perotti, which is obligatory under Spanish law, has been increased to 48 million euros ($70.69 million), mainly because of rumours that twin giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in him.
Perotti, 21, is the son of 1980s Boca Juniors midfielder Hugo Perotti.
Perotti joined the Sevilla nursery team in 2007 and made his Liga debut for Manolo Jimenez’ team last February, catching the eye with his elegant displays on the left wing.
He was called up by Argentina national manager Diego Maradona for November’s Spain-Argentina friendly, and might be part of Argentina’s 2010 World Cup squad if his good form continues.
