Chandigarh, Dec 13 (Inditop.com) The Haryana government will introduce 150 semi-low floor buses in the National Capital Region (NCR) adjoining New Delhi, officials said Sunday.

The buses, to be funded under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), will ply between Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, Delhi, Palwal and Gurgaon. Most of these will be put into service within this month, state Transport Commissioner Anand Mohan Sharan said.

Out of these 150 buses, 105 would be non-air conditioned and 45 will be air-conditioned (AC), he said.

Before preparing the route map for these buses, the data concerning those who travel daily in the area to be connected by these buses would be studied, he added.

The fare of these semi-low floor buses would either be equal or less than the buses being plied in Delhi and Chandigarh.

In the first phase, 20 buses of Volvo AC category would be started from Ballabhgarh next week. All the new buses would be introduced by January 2010.
