Paarl (South Africa), Dec 18 (Inditop.com) Shiv Kapur dropped a late bogey, but still made a decent start at the South African Open golf Thursday.

Kapur, who started off with a healthy start in the Race to Dubai for 2010, had finished tied eighth last week, and with a first round one-under 71 he was tied 29th in the European Tour event.

Kapur was one-under through seven holes in second round to be two-under with 11 more holes in second round. He had moved up to 24th.

Kapur starting on the tenth, bogeyed the 12th, but the birdie on 13th saw him turn in even par. A bogey on first was followed by birdie on third and fourth, before a bogey on eighth saw him finish at 71.

The leader was Pablo Martin of Spain, who carded a stunning seven-under 65. He added a four-under 68 in second round after an early start to be the leader at 11-under. He was two ahead of Anders Hansen (66-69).
