Washington, April 22 (Inditop) US President Barack Obama has invited the Egyptian, Israeli and Palestinian leaders to Washington for talks on resuming the peace process, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Tuesday.
Obama would hold separate meetings with Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Gibbs said, adding that no dates had been set for the visits.
“With each of them, the president will discuss ways the United States can strengthen and deepen our partnerships with them, as well as the steps all parties must take to help achieve peace between Israelis and Palestinians and between Israel and the Arab states,” Gibbs said.
The announcement came after Obama wrapped up a meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah. Obama has identified progress in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a top priority for his administration.
