New Delhi, Dec 28 (Inditop.com) With most automobile majors planning to enter the clean fuel-driven vehicle segment, India’s second largest car manufacturer, Hyundai Motor, Monday said it would unveil an electric variant of the popular i10 model next month.

“Expected to be unveiled during the forthcoming New Delhi Auto Expo in January 2010, the new i10 Electric represents Hyundai’s growing expertise to conceive and develop environmentally friendly vehicles,” the company said in a statement.

Hyundai already offers cleaner fuel engine options such as compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquified petroleum gas (LPG) in the Santro, Accent and i10 models.

“Apart from the current product line-up, Hyundai Motor India pavilion will also display its futuristic technology in the form of concept vehicles to highlight the superior and advanced technology that the company has pioneered,” added the statement.
