Shimla, Jan 1 (Inditop.com) Himachal Pradesh shivered Friday with the temperature remaining below sub-zero particularly in the higher reaches, the weather bureau here said.
The night temperature in Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti district, Friday morning dipped further. It was minus 11.9 degrees Celsius, down by 1.6 degrees from Thursday’s.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 2.7 degrees Celsius, while it was minus 1.0 degrees Celsius at Sundernagar in Mandi district, minus 1.9 degrees at Bhuntar in Kullu district and 3.3 degrees Celsius at Dharamsala in Kangra district, a met office release said.
The Queen of Hills, as Shimla was called by the British, recorded a minimum of 4.2 degrees Celsius, a rise from Thursday’s 2.8 degrees.
The met office has predicted dry weather for Saturday.
