Indore, Jan 8 (Inditop.com) The bank account of a Nigerian who was arrested in this Madhya Pradesh city with a fake visa is also forged, police said Friday.

“Everything is fake about the Nigerian national, Alex Johnson, who was arrested on Jan 2 for possessing a fake visa and defrauding a local businessman,” a police officer said.

Johnson was arrested by the crime branch on the complaint of local businessman Mohsin, owner of Ultracut, a factory manufacturing iron-cutting machine. He had alleged that Johnson, who claimed to be the owner of a Nigerian company, took Rs.1.15 lakh from him on the pretext of providing 480 machines worth Rs.22 crore.

“The bank account in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) in which Mohsin had deposited the money in the name of processing and legal fees has turned out to be fake,” the police officer said.

“Moreover, there are also doubts over his real name since on arrest he identified himself as Alex Johnson but when he was produced before the court he said he is Yugo Chukbo,” the officer added.
