New Delhi, Jan 8 (Inditop.com) In what could benefit working women in Delhi, an city-based NGO Friday launched a website that will not just provide a platform for discussions on sexual harassment at workplace but also guide one on how to tackle it.
Launched by Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA), the website (www.priacash.org) chiefly aims to discuss, strategise and suggest action to fight sexual harassment in workplaces.
Martha Farrell, director of Society for PRIA, said,: “The issue of sexual harassment in workplace has to be spoken about openly and with a view to prevent its occurrence. The campaign is a reminder to every woman in the workforce that she has the right to a workplace free from discrimination and suppression of her rights and it is her right to demand it.”
“The website covers all aspects of sexual harassment such as its definition and impact, what constitutes the workplace, policy measures and forming a committee against sexual harassment, capacity building on the issue, cases of sexual harassment and other frequently asked questions,” she added.
