Shimla, Jan 15 (Inditop.com) The mercury rose across Himachal Pradesh Friday, even as the higher reaches reeled under sub-zero temperature, with Keylong being the coldest at minus 11.5 degrees Celsius.

“Temperatures across the hill state rose marginally Friday due to the sunny day yesterday (Thursday),” Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office here, told Inditop.

Shimla witnessed a minimum temperature of 4.5 degrees Celsius compared to Thursday’s 1.1 degrees Celsius.

While Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district saw a low of minus 11.5 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnaur recorded minus 4 degrees Celsius.

Kalpa also recorded a rise in the minimum temperature from Thursday’s minus 7.6 degrees Celsius.

Elsewhere, Solan town recorded a low of 1.8 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar in Mandi district 1.7 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu district 1.1 degrees and Dharamsala in Kangra district a low of 2.3 degrees Celsius.
