Ranchi, Jan 18 (Inditop.com) Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren Monday said all the vacant posts of the state government would be filled soon.
“We will soon fill all the vacant posts of the state government,” Soren told reporters in New Delhi.
Soren was in New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
At his second cabinet meeting Saturday, Soren asked the chief secretary to submit the details of vacant posts.
“In Jharkhand, around 78,000 posts are vacant in various departments. In Jharkhand, the approved government posts in departments are 268,832, and against these posts, only 191,689 employees are working,” a senior government official told Inditop.
In home department alone, around 20,000 posts are vacant against the approved strength of 80,576.
“All the necessary processes have been initiated to fill the vacant posts,” Deputy Chief Minister Raghubar Das told Inditop. “We will soon set up Short Service Commission (SSC) to fill the vacant posts.”
