Kolkata, Jan 26 (Inditop.com) India will send 16 archers and five coaches to the first Asian Grand Prix to be held at Kuala Lumpur from Jan 7-12.

India will be fielding best archers in the compound section and the second best teams in the recurve category, said an Archery Association of India release. The best eight recurve archers will be busy at the South Asian Games in Dhaka.

The squad:

Recurve, men: Thupuvoyi Swuro (Nagaland), Kapil (Chandigarh), Pawan Xalxo and Atanu Das (both Steel Plant). Women: Chekrovolu Swuro (Nagaland), Laxmi Rani Majhi, V. Pranitha (both Steel Plant) and Sushma (Railways).

Compound, men: C. Srither (Services), Palton Hansda (Railways), Jayantilal Ninoma (Rajasthan) and Ritul Chatterjee (AP). Women: Jhano Hansdah, Bheigyabati Chanu (both Jharkhand), s. Jayalakshmi (Maharashtra) and Gagandeep Bawa (Punjab).

Coaches: Limba Ram (chief coach), Dharmendra Tiwary, Lalrem Sanga, Richpal
