New Delhi, Jan 28 (Inditop.com) Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning Thursday with relatively little fog and a rise in temperature.
The minimum temperature was recorded around 10.1 degrees Celsius.
“The fog situation in the capital is better today (Thursday). Visibility early morning was around 400 metres with the sun shining brightly a little later,” an India Meteorological Department official told Inditop.
“However, the sky is expected to become cloudy later in the day,” the official added.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 25 degrees Celsius.
Despite better weather conditions Thursday, many trains and flights were delayed.
“over 40 trains were delayed, four cancelled and 10 rescheduled,” a Northern Railway official said.
Twelve flights were delayed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here.
A thick layer of fog had blanketed the national capital Wednesday for almost 16 hours bringing down visibility to nearly zero, disrupting over 100 flights and 160 trains, while many were rescheduled or even cancelled.
The minimum temperature Wednesday was 9.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above average while maximum settled at 24.5 degree Celsius, three notches above average.
