New Delhi, Jan 28 (Inditop.com) Flight operations were largely normal with few delays at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) Thursday after a long spell of dense fog throughout January affected flight operations in the past few weeks.
A senior official of the Delhi airport operator Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said flight operations were normal.
“The runway visibility at 6 a.m. was above 900 metres. There was no fog and flight operations were normal,” he said.
The visibility level dropped to nearly zero around 5.30 a.m. Wednesday, affecting over 100 domestic and international flights, which were either rescheduled or cancelled.
Delhi has witnessed dense fog throughout January, which on most days was for 5 to 15 hours. The thick fog Jan 26 was recorded to be the most intense this season.
