Mumbai, Jan 29 (Inditop.com) Industry and infrastructure solutions provider Siemens Friday reported a 125 percent rise in operating profits at Rs.342 crore for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2009 compared to Rs.152 crore in the like period last fiscal.

The company’s accounting period is October-September.

New orders during the period under review rose 161 percent to Rs.5,168 crore while net sales increased 13 percent to Rs.1,834 crore.

“In the first quarter of the fiscal, all of our businesses grew well and we were successful in winning one mega export order,” Managing Director Armin Bruck said.
