Bhopal, Feb 3 (Inditop.com) Madhya Pradesh Inspector General of Police (Special Armed Forces) Rajendra Kumar was Wednesday removed from his post and sent back to police headquarters after he praised Pakistani terror accused Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab’s zeal while addressing a training camp in Indore.

An inquiry has also been ordered to probe the matter, a senior state home ministry official said.

Kumar, while inaugurating a state-level shooting competition of Madhya Pradesh police Tuesday, allegedly cited the example of 21-year-old Pakistani terrorist Kasab in a bid to boost the morale of the force.

“If you are trained well, you can do anything. An example is the Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab. Though he studied only up to Class eight and had just one-year training, he could handle weapons, gadgets and GPS devices with great perfection because of his conviction.”

“Can’t we have the same zeal that Kasab had since we were more educated than him and also more able? Try and learn from Kasab,” the IG said.

However, the IG later denied that he had praised Kasab. “I haven’t praised Kasab. My only aim was to motivate cops in the area of shooting. If somebody has felt bad, I am sorry for that but I have cited other examples of people like Sachin Tendulkar too,” he told media persons in Indore.
