New Delhi, Feb 8 (Inditop.com) A warm cloudy morning greeted Delhiites Monday with the met office forecasting a windy day with some rain in the evening.

“The day could be cloudy since one or two spells of showers are expected. There maybe some hailstorm or thunder squall in some areas also,” an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The IMD said that the minimum temperature recorded Monday morning was 13.5 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature recorded a day earlier was seven degrees above average at 30.1 degrees Celsius. This was the warmest Feb 7 in five years.

“The maximum in the day should be around 25 degrees Celsius. The minimum would hover around 16 degrees Celsius,” the official added.

In comparison to the past few years, the last week has been warm with temperatures two to seven degrees higher than the average.
