Lucknow, Feb 10 (Inditop.com) Light to moderate rainfall is likely in parts of Uttar Pradesh Wednesday and Thursday, the weatherman has said.
According to the state met department, a weather disturbance affecting the western Himalayan region and adjoining northwest plains will bring rain and chilly winds to several regions of Uttar Pradesh.
“Owing to light or moderate rainfall, there would be a fall of 3-5 degrees in minimum temperature and 2-3 degrees in maximum temperature,” state Met Director J.P. Gupta told reporters here.
While the present western disturbance will continue to affect the region, a fresh western disturbance is expected to enter the Himalayan region Thursday, said another official.
It means hill areas will receive more rain and snowfall in coming days. The snowfall in the Himalayas will keep the winter going for some more days in Uttar Pradesh, the official added.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 13.4 degrees Celsius in Lucknow, 13.1 degrees in Kanpur, 13.6 in Varanasi and 14.5 in Allahabad.
